"I got a very similar call but different callback number. I know for a fact there is absolutly nobody who would have cause to file a case and suspected fraud or phishing etc. The callback number they left was 617-583-5720.... called back just to see and it was a Verizon wireless number (customer unavailable)... again .... suspicious."

"I received a call on a Saturday evening in which they stated they were looking for someone else, gave legal information (case number, etc.) and left their number to call. I called three times, was hung up on twice as soon as I began to speak with the person who answered the call."

"I got a voicemail from an unknown #. When I heard the voicemail, my heart sank. It said that I had a Legal Matter charged against me and that I needed to contact my lawyer and I will have to appear in court. It also mentioned something about a Restraining Order. And then the lady gave me this # to call 757-214-6785 and gave me a case #. Just out of curiousity, I looked the # up to find that it was a scam. I pray that this is a scam. I have never been in trouble a day in my life. Should I call this # back? I don't want them calling me anymore."

"I was told that someone had a restraining order and the affidavit number is EkCK 2006. I knew it was not right since the zip code is not local and thats not how a restraining order is dealt with plus I would not have a restraining order placed on me. They did not use my name but they have been calling my husbands cell phone as well."

"My sister got a call at my parents from a recording that said to call this number with a claim code. I called and they told me that a loan.com had a claim out against me in the amount of about $1200 and said theyd settle for 350 right now or take me to court. I questioned who the claim was from and they asKed me if I knew a Christopher James. When I said no they hung up."
