I finally spoke to someone (after I called them back since they would always hang up when I answered) who kept trying to convince me to buy a new trip and they would apply my "lost deposit" to the new trip. She asked for my information but I told her since my number came up on the display, she should be able to pull my file with that info. She said she did and said that my original deposit had been for 298$ (I infact lost almost double that in 2007). She never once used my name and couldn't tell me anything about how the payment had been made. She gave me the website toursconsulting.com as proof of the company's validity. The website works but I can't find anything when I search for the company in Google. However, every website that pops up when I search the phone number comes up with a SCAM ALERT! She also didn't want to take no for an answer and it took me three times requesting for my number to be removed before she would comply. Let's see if it worked." They told me I had placed a deposit on a vacation package 5 years ago and asked whether I wanted to pay another $399-$599 and get a vacation for 5 to one of 4 locations (Orlando, Bahamas, Las Vegas, or Hawaii.) I told them no, and some guy got on the phone and said they had my credit card information plus a recording of my voice giving them permission to charge a total of $1300 for a vacation package.
