With other numbers, this seems to let the automated calling system know that the number is a dead line and the calls stopped, but this appears to be from an actual landline being employed for telemarketing purposes. Not sure how to make it stop, but next time I get a call, I'm going to stay on the line until I get someone, then I'm going to string them along for as long as possible with time-wasting chit chat, to try to give them a taste of their own medicine..."
