I have a block on this type of things...phone rings only once. Then they called back with another number. First number-888-361-0687 PayPal Credit
Then they bypassed my block and called with this number 608-371-6666 (Janesville, Wis.)"

"I received a letter in the mail today stating it was from Customer Security Operations at Comenity Capital Bank/PayPal Credit telling me there was suspicious activity on my account and asking me to call 888-361-0687. I called and the they asked me for my SS# which I refused to do and said I would call them back on the phone number listed in the PayPal Credit website. When I did that they told me they never send letters through the US Mail and that the letter I received was a fraud."

I would not and I asked for a number to call so I could verify. They gave me a reference number and the phone number 877-981-2126 to call back. I won't give personal info to callers so hung up"

"FRAUD-FRAUD-FRAUD.!!!I got a call from 888-361-0687. they left a voice mail for my name to call back # 877-981-2126 with a reference #. I called back and asked for company name. they said to be paypal verifying a credit application, to confirm my name, last 4 of my ssn, day and month (they had the year). I just told them I did not apply. they said will mail letter in the mail. I called paypal after; paypal said to have no info on any of both phone #s. DON'T EVEN CALL BACK. IT IS FRAUD"

"FRAUD!!! Sounds like I am a victim of the same thing others have had. Someone called me from this #. An American white man who spoke with authority, said that he was calling to verify that I had applied for Paypal credit and asked for my social security #. I told him I would not give my SS# and I did not apply for Paypal credit, as I have been having issues with fraud. He sounded a bit annoyed and gave my birth year, but not my birthday. I said I would call Paypal back directly and speak with them. He gave me a Reference #. I called Paypal directly, spoke with security, credit supervisor and they did NOT recognize this situation, nor the Reference #. FRAUD !!!!"
