I called my family attorney right away and they got the company to send them a notice validating this. I was told to go ahead and take care of this because they did have the legal right to sue. I paid in full and the company sent me a receipt and paid in full notice."

"I too received a call stating that I have an investigation took place and that I have been identified as a Defendant in a "claim" (not in a law suit). The message also stated that I must call 855-245-3169 immediately to discuss the matter. This was very strange because I own nothing, was not involved in any incidents whatsoever. My career background is int he legal fiend. If you are abuot t be named as a defendant,it is done legally on paper through the Courts. It also struck me as odd since the person did not identify themselves as calling from an insurance company nor from a law firm. I was going to return the call, but thought to look up the number on the internet. I am glad that I did. Thank you for this site."

"I've been getting these calls for almost 18-months. Every time I ask for documentation related to these legal documents, the calls stop for about 2-3 weeks and then start up again. Its gone from a collection agency, process server and now the department of arbitration. I wish these people would just get a clue they are NOT getting me to give them money on a pre-paid credit card.

Finally, the caller states that if she does not receive a "stop order" from the filing party the documents will be served and I "have been notified". The caller mentioned a party who has the same last name so clearly they have some info about me (part of the ploy). Obviously this is a scam but I worry that some people might be fooled and call the number back. From what I've read on the Internet they will ask for personal info from you.
