I was skeptical/said I didn't believe, then he was more rude and I hung up,
Advice to others: hang up right away. Save your breath. The IRS will not call you to be nasty.

"Got the same call. Freaked me out, til I realized that it was just a scam. Two voices on the separate calls were obviously the same, though one was digitized. Plus, since when does a cop ask you to call back the first number to resolve an issue."

"Claimed to be IRS. Computer generated voice. Said they would issue an arrest warrant for tax fraud if I didn't call. Obviously a fake."

"Numerous calls within a 4 hour period, different people from same number asking for the same person, even though they were told EVERY time that they have a wrong number....apparently somebody has given our number and skipped out on some "payday loans" and these people want their money back....police now involved and has called this number and informed them of their involvement.....we shall see"
