"Received a call from this number. A female voice stated that the I.R.S. was filing a lawsuit against us. We were to call the department right away and gave the number, then repeated the number. Very clear voice and good English.
I knew not to respond, as companies like the IRS use regular mail with letter head to notify folks of anything. I left the message on the machine."

"Received a call from this number stating that I owed taxes to the IRS, and that they would "sue" me if I didn't pay. I questioned them, the call was disconnected, and now when I try to get through to them the phone rings and rings and nobody answers."

"Received a phone call from this number claiming to be the IRS and wanting me to settle my debt of $5,970 from the tax years 2008 to 2012. They wanted me to pay right now, over the phone. Having heard of scams like this before, and never receiving mail from the IRS confirming this, I didn't by into it. As soon as I questioned their intent, I was hung up on."
